PAW stands for Protectors of Animal Welfare. Members of PAW believe that it is not right to cause pain to a fellow living creature and that no animal should suffer at the hands of humans. What goes on Animal cruelty is all around us. From microwaving kittens and setting puppies on fire for fun to the food most people eat; animal abuse is everywhere. PAW aims to stop it. Not everything is in our control but we can make a difference to the simple things. Animals suffer far too much at the hands of humans and PAW is just one organisation set to help fight it!

What it has to do with you

Although you may not think it, animals play a huge part in our daily lives. Ever wonder where that steak pie you had for dinner came from? Or the milk you had with your cereal? Or the eggs you put in the birthday cake? Contrary to seemingly popular belief, they didn't come from animals living long and happy lives in rolling green paddocks, with regular food and water, who were slaughtered quickly and painlessly with a bullet through the front of the skull. That's far from the truth. And what about the moistoriser you put on this morning? Or your shampoo you washed your hair with? You the lipstick you used to get that boy to notice you? They are all tested on animals who are tortured unnesicarily for your cosmetics. How about that warm, furry fringe on your coat? Take care when buying, because it might be real fur. It looks better on the animal than it ever will on you. The wooden table you sat at when you had your dinner? Most probably chopped down along with hundreds of others, killing thousands of innocent animals and leaving millions homeless.

What you can do about it Go Vegan! Or at least vegatarian. Buy products which are not tested on animals Never buy fur, ivory, or ornimental sea creatures Always recycle when you can Take showers instead of baths Switch off lights when you dont need them Donate to your local animal charity Join a protest against fox hunting, live animal exportation or even KFC Become a member of P.A.W!
